Description of Accident
On 02/27/24, N485DA was preparing to land at Sanford International Airport when there was a reported loss of power. N485DA landed short of the runway and impacted a parked aircraft. See NTSB Final Report.
Description of Damages
See photos and NTSB wreckage exam. The damage includes but may not be limited to:
Impact damage and fire damage.
Fuselage sprayed with fire retardant foam.
Left rear window broken.
Prop blades damaged.
Engine experienced a prop strike.
Windshield is dislodged from the opening.
Both wings.
Right flap.
All three landing gear broke off.
