DESCRIPTION OF ACCIDENT: On 02/26/24, While aircraft was at maintenance facility and stored on the ramp outside, an unauthorized person started up aircraft, taxied it around the ramp and hit a light pole, perimeter fencing and went into a ditch.
DESCRIPTION OF DAMAGES: The damage includes but may not be limited to:
· Outboard section of left wing was nearly sheared off. The entire wing, including internal fuel bladders, de-ice boots, et cetera, will need to be replaced. · The left tip tank is damaged; however, the damage might be repairable. · The right side of the fuselage just below the right windshield was damaged by a fence posted. The large dent will need to be repaired with a patch or rolled out from the inside. · All three blades on the right prop are bent and twisted. · The leading edge of the right wing outboard of the engine nacelle is damaged and there is a hole in the bottom skin that is close to the spar. It is likely that the right wing will need to be replaced. · The right tip tank sustained substantial damage and will need to be replaced. · The landing gear will need to be checked for damage.
