       DESCRIPTION OF ACCIDENT:  The aircraft was landed gear up and slid on the runway. Both propellers struck the runway under power.

                                                            

 

 

 DESCRIPTION OF DAMAGE:    The damage includes but may not be limited to the following: 

 

  • Both engine nacelles and associated lower intakes and inlets are damaged.
  • Both main landing gear door sets (inner and outer) are assumed to be damaged.
  • The lower right side of the fuselage just aft of the nose section is damaged from propeller thrown debris.
  • Although we have limited access due to the aircraft resting on dolly, it appears that the nose gear doors, belly, and belly mounted antennas are damaged.
  • Both propellers struck the runway and are destroyed.
  • Both engines will require prop strike inspections.

      Damage from the recovery includes:

  • Leading edge damage to both wings.
  • Damage to the right flap, right aileron, and attach point.
  • Left flap and inboard flap attach point.
