                    DESCRIPTION OF ACCIDENT:          On 6/17/2016 PIC experienced inflight electrical failure and could not extend gear. Manually cranked gear down but could not feel resistance resulting in gear collapse/gear up landing.

 

                    DESCRIPTION OF DAMAGES:           Propeller strike with sudden stoppage, Engine mount and firewall, Nose gear doors, Engine belly skins at and forward of the wing root, Left wing outboard upper,

                                                                                   lower and leading edge skin,1 wing rib, Rear left wing spar bent, Pitot system and surrounding wing skin, Left aileron, Belly antennas and beacon, Aircraft step and

                                                                                   possibly structural connection point, Gear side-load, Left gear control arms bent, Center section impacted and damaged; all support bending right, indicating gear side load,

                                                                                   Left wing trim tabs, Right wing flap bent, All flap hinges, left side

 

                    LOCATION OF AIRCRAFT:               Unionville Municipal Airport; K43            Inspection prior bidding is strongly recommended.

                            The successful bidder will be notified on the following Tuesday and agrees to provide payment via wire transfer unless an alternate payment method is agreed to by Starr.  Salvage will not be released until receipt of your wire

                            transfer or other payment method as agreed to by Starr.  All storage and handling charges accrued prior to notification of high bid will be the responsibility of Starr and after that date will be the responsibility of the purchaser. 

                            Starr reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
